Sometimes inspiration arrives unexpectedly.
For us, it began during a trip to Georgia while visiting the small town of Dahlonega. We spent the day exploring, walking through charming streets, enjoying the slower pace, and visiting beautiful little shops along the way. One particular boutique stayed with us long after we returned home. There was something about the atmosphere, the warmth, the thoughtful details, and the feeling it created that sparked an idea we couldn’t stop talking about.
Somewhere during that trip, Table & Thread was born.
My daughter & I have always loved many of the same things; long conversations, meaningful gatherings with family and friends, discovering charming places, trying new restaurants, traveling, being near the water, and finding beauty in the simple details of everyday life. I’m usually the one with coffee in hand while we talk through ideas, places we want to visit, or restaurants we want to try next.
The truth is, we’re still figuring out exactly what Table & Thread will become, and that’s part of the excitement. What started as inspiration from one special trip has slowly grown into a shared creative project centered around connection, hospitality, food, travel, gathering, and meaningful experiences.
This summer, we’re hoping to take cooking classes together, explore new places, do little venue checks and day trips, and continue gathering inspiration wherever we go. Some of it may inspire future experiences and small group trips someday, and some of it may simply become memories we are grateful to share together.
We plan to share a monthly Table & Thread blog with glimpses of those experiences along the way; charming destinations, favorite meals, beautiful spaces, tablescapes, conversations, travels, and everyday moments that inspire us.
Thank you for being here at the beginning of this journey with us 💛
